Everythings happening as it should here in Melbourne. Spending a lot of time in the hotel room with no distractions making good progress on various projects.
I’ll be back in Melbourne tomorrow, sooner than I thought… this time however for some not so pleasant family business.
Been a little out of touch lately with many (sorry!!) as I’ve been wading through the in-tray that was overflowing upon my return from the round Oz tour. Anyway as the creative World never sleeps, neither do I…. I can happily announce that I will be part of Our World Writ Large taking place in Melbourne’s Federation Square.
Details:
Our World Writ Large is a one-hour program of video-art created by some of the most talented young artists in Australia. Offering up a kaleidoscopic array of observations and ideas about our world today, the program presents a heady mix of narrative styles and artistic tendencies, incorporating everything from animation to performance documentation, special effects to found footage, home video to travel documentation, experimental film and more. Incorporating short video works by Catherine Connolly (VIC), Tamsin Green (VIC), Tom Hall (QLD), Kotoe Ishii (VIC), Isobel Knowles (VIC), Kate Mitchell (NSW), Nathan Pye (VIC), Zoë Scoglio (VIC), Carl Scrase (VIC), Soda_Jerk (NSW) and Julie Traitsis (VIC), Our World Writ Large is an exhibition of challenging, critically engaged and genre-busting videos curated by Ulanda Blair.

This Friday
Got back into Brisbane last night (very quickly 3 1/2 hours from Perth to Brisbane) and am feeling a little frazzled after what was an insanely good tour with great turn outs at all shows around the country.
Thanks to all those that came out!!
Pretty sure this is the fastest I’ve ever been.
Went along to the Hyde Park Hotel (where I play tonight) last
night to catch some local band. Was particularly tired having flown from Melbourne earlier in that day, however amazing avant pop/rock/doom band BROWN blew me away with everything from home made bass guitars to angle grinders, trully awesome!!!
